Just received brand new fbody headers...

I just got my Hooker Super Comp 2.8 fbody headers sent to my door today. They are brand new!!! When I say new I mean they still have the tags on. Another thing is that these are light in weight. I called holley too see if they were real, and part#2209 and yes they were. There is one thing that sucks though it is that I need to have a custom y-pipe made for them. I wont put them on until it's out of storage in June so it gives me some time to save up. How much do those exhaust places charge to make one of those y-pipes? Thanks for your help

Use teh pipe for the V-8 and bend to fit. It's simple. About $100.
I'm gonna make one myself using an exhaust splitter (haven't found that part yet) and another set of V-6 pipes from the yard. those factory pipes are pre-bent & fit great ya know!
For the split pipe to CC, I'm trying to find, close by, a tailpipe tip used on the Trans Ams of the 70's. The split, 2 per side chrome exhaust tip.
Then, use the spare pipe from the yard and mate to the on car passenger side bank pipe, using the spare smoother bend curves. A Straight pipe back to split chrome tip then into the CC.
All/Only cutting and welding, no fab/bending.

hey ked, those exhaust tips probably wont work, with out some modding. the first tip is restricted, the last is open, for say an e-check or something. Also if you can find some, get two for me. I can get them new & chromed for $35 each. I'll also be doing some studying on your 2.8-3.4 swap

The exhaust splitters I speak of, I see real often at swap meets. Honest, I'll check out if one of those tubes is blocked off.
If so, Plan B, make a set!
I'll be visiting some swap meets again, soon.
In the mean time, I just be patient. My ride is going real smooth, now.
Time to work on the Wife's 1968 Camaro stuff.

It'll be tough to find a shop to touch that, cause you are close to the convertor. If Fair will do it, they have good prices.

all you need now is an SLP loudmouth for it.

BTW, ready to line up again??
