Heater Core??

My car started blowing anti freeze up on my windshield and fogging it up from the vents and anti freeze was dripping from beneath the dashboard on the passenger side? What is this?

Sounds like the heater core, or maybe one of the lines that go to and from it. When mine went, I smelled coolant and saw it dripping around where the vents are under the radio.

Heater core.
No, stop leak doesn't work well at all!
I tired that too.
AND DON'T BOTHER REPAIRING THAT HEATER CORE.
You buy NEW
Or just bypass core & live without heat.
But, be aware, the longer you drive with core that bad, it may explode and all coolant leaks inside car & you are stranded.
Bypass it is quick cold fix.

Yeah..to replace it effectively, it's reccomended you disassemble a good portion of your dash...I reccomend picking up a Haynes/Chilton's repair manual for this...it's not hard, but it's a pain in the *** process.

I have replaced them in 90-92 camaro 2-3 times and it was not hard. Just alot of repetive small nuts-bolts-screws. and alot of plastic to move to get to it.

I plan on doing mine this spring, just for $hits and giggles, before it breaks on me. After all, I just got new carpet two years ago!
