I posted a crane cam part number in the 12 second 2.8/3.1 thread. It is comp freindly as just abvout all the cranes are. BUT as I replied to someone in that thread, to get the BEST out of it you want a chip that is tuned to YOUR ENGINE, not a generic mass produced thing. Meaning you want custom fuel mapping.

Well they are both Cranes. The one you chose is up to you. The number I posted was the most radical one they had that will still work under the ECM. The Fuel issue is the ECM controls Fuel. Period. you cannot put in a high pressure pump and expect to get more fuel. It wont happen. The ecm tellt\s the injectors when, how much and long to stay open. This is where the custom chip comes in. It modifies the fuel map to have the injectors provide the best amount of fuel at the right time and under the right condition to do it. there are literally hundereds of perameters to control the fuel map in the ECM. The BEST way to get the most from the chip is also the most expensive. Spend about 350 bucks to get the "live" interface and materials for the patch cord to run to/from your ecm to a lap top computer and you can run the stock bin through your ECM to have a set "baseline" to mod it from. You then drive. You keep an eye on the A/F ratio and add fuel when it gets too lean, take away fuel when its TOO rich. when your done you will have a sense of "Perfection" of the fuel control that your ECM provides AS YOUR CAR STANDS AT THAT TIME. Add K&N's remap it, add headers remap it, add pullies remap it and so it goes for everything you change on the car. Thats why if you buy a Generic Hypertech ect chip it'll be an improvement, but far from what you can get if you have that equip to moniter and modify "Live" real time action/imput from real driving. You;ll know the chip is making the best outta what you have and having the ECM provide the BEST of what it can do. You will even get to a point where you will have to add an adjustable fuel pressure reg, and bigger Lb injectors and that higher PSI fuel pump. Again you will have to remap it.
