Ive been looking for an 88 350 gta in black like the one I had a long time ago. and in that search I found this. some guy here in puerto rico bought a farm that had been closed for 6 years. he found cars stored inside the stables. some camaros and chevelles and a 20th anniversary. Im picking it up tomorrow for $12,000.00 a good price but we know that it has been stoped for at least 6 years. it has 40k miles. and is in good condition exept for some surface rust, mostly on the engine bay.
the thing is I know nothing about these engines. is there some one here I can contact for some help. I dont want to trie and start it untill im a 100% shure ive got everything checked.
sorry for any mistakes, english is my second language.
The motor is a upgraded Grand National Motor. Was it running when It was parked? Drain the gas tank, you may have to replace the injectors. Change the oil, remove the spark plugs ,spray some WD40 or something like it in each cylinder and let it soak overnight.
Awesome find! And good price too! With the mileage it’s hard saying. I don’t know many particulars about this engine but I wouldn’t be afraid to swap out the fuel filter and throw some fresh gas in it. Spray WD in cylinders wouldn’t hurt. Check the fluids and see if it fires. If it runs good to where it can be driven, out a few easy miles on it. Then start the process of changing all the fluids, checking belts, hoses, brake lines, etc. Looks like a nice find, look forward to following along!
