I've searched until I cant see straight any more. It seems to me that the GM Valve Spring 12363216 that is recommended numerous times in numerous threads is no longer available. If they are not, I'm having an unusually hard time trying to locate them. To keep it simple. I'm replacing my tired 1986 2.8 with 247K miles with a 3.4 rebuild. I was thinking of going with the Melling MTC-5 cam and replacing the valve springs/retainers and locks.

Looking for help from the Big Brain Gurus here for what the possible best and reasonably priced aftermarket options are for the springs/retainers and locks.

I'm waiting to take the block to the machine shop for HotTanking/Magnaflux and cylinders to measured and honed. Until I can source the valve train parts I will be installing.
