Bigger cam and ported heads.

I have a 1986 Camaro with a 2.8l engine, I put on headers, highflow cat, and dynomax exhaust, and bigger injectors. It runs really good. My question is would a set of higher flow heads, and a performance cam shaft be worth it, and how much more power will I get out of it? I was thinking of going to a 3.4L stroker but my engine only has 47K on it and not sure if I want to go that route. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you decide to go with higher flow / ported heads, do yourself a favor and swap in a 3.4 block to further enhance the power.

Re: Bigger cam and ported heads.

I was goiing to get all the parts from ARI Racing Engines. They have a 2.8l-3.4l stroker block for $1,300.00. Should I get a 3.4l from a mid 90s Camaro?I want to be able to retain the water pump and belt drive on the 86.

Everything I believe transfers over, even gm had a 3.4HT for the lowly 2.8
