Adding nos

Do you need to rebuild the engine for a 50hp boost of gass.

IF IT WAS ME
I'd double check fuel system and mount a fuel pump gauge
and rebuild the ignition system.
Beyond that, let us know what happens!

You can add a inline fuel pump(booster) from nitrous works in the Jim Pace catalog. They said you do not have to remove the fuel tank to install it either. When I get the Nitrous Express I'm getting this installed just to be safe.

any higher than 50 i am told you should get hypertunic or forged pistons... i am told the stock pistons have a weakspot around the oil ring where it could crack... i think nos is the only real poweradder that is easier to do... i wonder how much nos a fully built up engine could take?

When I blew my 2.8 engine, the hole occured dead center about 1 1/4" sized. Overheated the car, hose fell off radiator.
When ya play with NOS, be realistic.
Who needs an engine rebuild just for the braggin rights that ya won the race, but lost the motor?
I did that in my 1967 Camaro.
I won the race, but blew the engine, radiator had leak in it while racing.
My then girlfriend had to remind me, not to race, too.
Double whammy!
