Cylinder bank on passanger side is not working
Dear Community,
I have completely overhauled the engine on my pontiac and cannot get the engine to run properly. I have already been to eight garages and they don't know either.
In the car is a 2.8 MPFI V6 with a 5 speed manual transmission. Before the engine was overhauled the head gasket was broken and the exhaust gases got into the cooling system.
The problem the engine now has is that the cylinder bank on the passenger side does not work. The following things I and the garage have already tested.
* Fuel pressure: idle 2.6 bar/37.5 PSI
* Compression test: between all six cylinders: around 10 bar/ 145/150 PSI
* Ignition time: checked with a timing light and is correct. 20 deg BDC
* New spark plugs, spark bridge, spark and spark plug wires are good.
* Injector fogging is good.
* All injectors are clicking as well. After closing the spark, gasoline was also found in the cylinders.
* No vacuum leaks, tested with smoke machine
* PCV valve moves.
* EGR valve moves
* IAC valve is good and moving.
* Fuel and filter changed.
* With reading the ECU, other sensors such as MAF sensor, TPS also appear to be working properly.
The cylinder bank seems to be getting everything (fuel, ignition, compression, timing and air), but when measuring the exhaust it does not exceed 45*C or 133*F. The crazy thing is that the cylinder bank on the driver side is not experiencing any problems.
Do you guys know any points that can check?
Thank you in advance

Re: Cylinder bank on passanger side is not working
I know you said it appears the injectors are working, but just for the heck of it, have you checked the fuses "INJ 1" and "INJ 2" in the fusebox ?
You said something about there being fuel in the cylinders, could the injector circuit for that side be inadvertently grounded ? (The injectors get constant +12V from the two fuses I mentioned, and their ground side is what gets switched by the ECM) . Putting a noid light on each bank would give useful info here......

I checked the injectors with a stethoscope. With this you can hear the injector clicking, i.e. going off. I will do some more checking under the dash to make sure everything is right there.
