My car got broken into!!

I'm so mad!! I walk out to my car today to put some checks in the bank and my door was kind of open and unlocked. So when I look inside, all my registration and insurance papers are all over my car and my radio pod is ripped in half! They stole my jvc kameleon cd player, 50 cds (Too bad for them, they were all burned cd's heh heh) , My RADAR DETECTOR, all my tools in the back and my emergency roadside kit. Oh, and my dash mat was thrown under my car. And you know what makes my day worse, my car insurance doesn't cover it and my parents home owners insurance won't either!(Liability sucks!) Does anyone know how much an old 91 to 92 5 speed center console and radio pod would cost? And to keep this from getting locked, how much do you other v6'ers pay for full coverage on your insurance? My insurance wanted to charge me 270 dollars a month!! And also, do you guys recomend any alarm systems? Thanks if anybody can help.

Wow dude, that sucks... when my car was broken into (as it sat behind the garage that towed me the night of my accident), the thing that upset me most being stolen was my radar detector. If you have serial #s of your stuff, you can file a police report- they won't hunt down your stuff, but, if they ever bust someone, and they have 100 radar detectors in their house, and one of them is yours...

I put the Viper alarm in.

A friend of mine paid 2200 dollars a year for full coverage on his base 3.1 litre Firebird... and that is right here in good ol NJ... the land of incredibly high insurance rates... (one of the highest in the country from what I hear... bastards...)

Sorry to hear about that man... it sucks... good luck with everything...

That's horrible man!!!! My 84 Bird costs me $60 a month to insure! That's with a $200 deductable... which came in handy for me the other day.

Anyways, Best of luck catching those little idiots! I hope someone teaches them a lesson!

As for an alarm, I'd definetely suggest a Viper. They are quite dependable (as I've found through personal experience) and they aren't that expensive!

Local bone yard 10-15 bucks.. DO NOT GO TO THIRDGENRESOURCE they suck major ***. Go to third gen parts instead. Next Generation(By year one) has them for 15-20 bucks new.

When I lived in ManASSas Va I walked out to my then 76 Camaro and saw a guy tring to get into it... Lets just say he saw the wrong end of a 44 inch sword. The cops showed up and shoke my hand for catching the guy and one of the cops wanted their picture taken with them holding the sword!.

Man thanks a lot guys! Right now I'm still sooooo steamed about it. I found the pieces I need on ebay to rebuild my console. So if you guys can really avoid it, don't bid on the upper console plate ( the thing that goes from the console pad to the radio pod), radio trim plate, the padded thing under the steering wheel and the 5 speed shifter plate. I know I can't tell you guys not to bid but I'm kind of hoping to get them kind of cheap so this break in thing won't hurt me so much. If you really need those things go ahead and bid I can't stop you.
Camaro hunter you are the man! I wish I could have sword slapped the people who broke in my car! I'll find out who did it some day......Well anyways, I bought a clarion alarm and one of my friends is going to let me use his cd player! So hopefully the next time will be somewhat preventable. Thanks for the help guys, I knew I could count on you.
