quarter time for a 3.4 beefed up
quarter time for a 3.4 beefed up
What would I be looking at quarter time with a 3.4 with a beefed up ignition, exhaust, torque converter and a rebuit 700r4 with a trans go shift kit and stock gears in a 86 camaro sport coupe.
Thanks
David

I hope to be finding out shortly.
I want to modify my pipes after the exhaust manifolds first.
Make a smoother junction bend.
Look at passenger side engine bay, see what I mean.
I do hope for a solid 16-high 15's.
As long as the car drives back from the drag strip, I'll be happy, too!
I've got stock modified ignition (Accel super coil & 8.8 wires, new Bosch plugs)
Stock modified fuel system (I used the '95 3.4 injectors & pressure regulator)
Stock auto tranny, recent rebuild, STRONG
Stock gears (3:42)
A stock 3.4 under stock 2.8 induction system (NO port matching, NO vacuum leaks)
In a '85 Firebird, with modified air inlet (I molded the top lid, so it grabs air, just melt/heat gun it straight up, not angled down, and removed the "bends" by the radiator-removed that air box thing-more tricks coming).
I hope to race at Carlsbad, near San Diego.
I want the cool night air, sea level.
I'll let ya know, too!

KED85, I know exactly what you are talking about with the exhaust. I talked to a exhaust guy at a good mufler shop and he said it can be done but only someone with experiance will have a clue on how to do it but Im plaining on doing it next summer,
High 15 low 16 is not bad for a stock 3.4....
SO with engine mods mabey a solid 14..... thats not to bad,
I could just see me beating a mustang LOL HEY BUDDY you just lost to a old 3.4
