Checking sparkplugs
You have probabaly heard me say how I have had a problem with cracked sparkplug insulaters insulaters sometimes .Is there a way to check my sparkplugs without taking the plugwire boots off of them ? I dont want to take the boots off b/c my wires are new and they are on there really good from the heat and I dont want to break/or mess up the boot trying to take them off . Is there away I can test from the outside , like on the boot that will tell me if the sparkplug insulater is cracked or not working properly .I bought those bosh plat plugs, Im sure you have seen me talk about but never had the time to put them in yet .So I still have those AC'S in there ...Thanx guys !
If you are worried about breaking wires you should buy some ACDelco wires. They DO NOT break. The cheapie ones from Auto Zone break like nothing. I have yet to break an ACDelco wire and i've pulled quite a few.
P.S. Your car is slow.

Sorry, I'll refrain from trying to help you anymore. ACDelco wires DO NOT BREAK unless YOU don't pull them off correctly. And considering you know dick about cars you probably don't know how to take a plug wire off.
Go play with your sway bar or something..........and grow up. You and Hunter_D would be great friends.

I missed something on the weekend, huh?
Er, anyway, did you coat the inside of the spark plug boots with the silicone "dielectric" (aka "tuneup grease") compound? That will prevent the boots from melting on the plugs. I even coat the ceramic insulator of the plugs with a bit of the dielectric. Use a q-tip to apply the stuff.

OK guys, enough arguing.
My opinon...all thirdgen's are slow from the factory, including L98's.
Unless it's hittin 12's NA no matter the size of the engine, I consider it slow. Although, I give it to the AWD Turbo 4's in the 12's...that's impressive.
Wayne, no offense, but quit crying. Everyone's definition of slow is variable. Mine is pretty hard to hit.
Dan, seriously, please try not to post stuff that intentionally has no value or meaning.
