I've been reading that we can't use the wiring harness, ecu, sensors from a 3.4L car. I was wondering what prohibits that use. I figure it would be equivalent to changing from a MAF system to a speed density system in the V8s. KEDS, or anyone, any ideas?

You'ld need all things electrical from the donor car. I assume.

I believe the first line of my swap thread states you are recreating exactly what you are looking at, now, under your hood.
Do you see any 3.4 wires & such?
They will fit.
Yes.
Will it work correct?
NO
Why, It's different.
Until you see all you get to work with, you just have to accept that answer.
I believe I say what to order with your "new engine".
You want all the injection, injectors & wiring harness and the starter.
Why?
It'll cost nothing more to get it with the engine.
One yard may have a different interpetation of those dress the engine requests than another, so you cover your bases that way.
