2.8-3.4 intake manifolds

Ok, just picked up my 3.4 today. I know I should probably wait to ask this until I have both motors side by side, but would it be possible to use the 3.4 intake manifold? I was thinking just not hook up the speed density stuff and put the MAFS on it. Or do you think there would be a chance the 2.8 manifold would flow better? Just some thoughts.

Mark

P.S. I found 5 3.4's in the area with 42,000 to 76,000 miles for $600-700. Ironicaly, the lowest mile motor was also the cheapest. If any one wants names and #'s of the places, let me know.

This line I'm getting tired of saying.

1 You can do ANYTHING YA WANT with this swap

2 TO MAKE THE SWAP WORK QUICKEST & EASIEST, MAKE THE 3.4 LOOK EXACTLY IDENTICAL TO WHAT IS CURRENTLY UNDER YOUR HOOD, RIGHT NOW. EXACTLY IDENTICAL

It works best, using #2.
Honest, be ny guest, but, if you want to get the car going quickest, use common sense.
Then experiment.
Glad to know you found some 3.4 for us.
Good prices!!
All F Body ones, right?
MAKE SURE YOU ALSO GET THE STARTER

the stock intake manifold on a l36 3.4 ohv (the v6 from 93-95 f-bodies) will not work if ur planning on using ur 2.8 ignition setup. they were designed for the DIS (distribitorless ignition). i would follow ked85's swap boogie. it takes 99% of the guess work out of doing the swap.

Well, I'm not really worried about time. It would be nice to be able to move the car around easier, but I'm not planning on putting it on the road at least until april. But, I am not planning on changing the ignition, and forgot about the distributor clearence issues. Thanks for the input though.

Project: 85 2.8 bird, you have mail. By the way, are you on firebirdv6 under a different screen name but with the same sig?
