V6s are the best for racing at higher speeds, in my opinion. THey handel awesome, great for passing and turns too.

WELL good job on the win.

I will say that after I put in these injectors and made the mistake of jacking the Fuel presure up a little TOO high so at start up it ran like crap but after it git warmed up it ran alot better. BUT You wanna see 3rd,4th, 5th gear power... thats the way, swap in the 19Lb monsters and leave the F/P alone and it still hauls in the upper gears. I have a A/F ratio guage and before nailing it in the upper gears saw the thing go blood red lean. Now hog green rich and screams.

Can't wait for the headers and intake.... HE HE then turbo.. woo nelleeee

"think about this
under 300hp will get my car into the 12's will it do that to your car?"
on the other board this guy with a 383chevy block has 280hp peak, and he does 12.5's at the track... but then again he has like 440lbft of torqe

Good point. Trq moves our cars. HP can move the lighter cars. The more weight you got the more trq you need.

you can't have hp without tq

hp=(tq*rpm)/5252

that guy who was running almost 440 lbs/ft of torque prolly wasn't using a very low gear
though if you move that 440 lbs/ft of tq up to maybe 5000-6000 rpms then you can use a much more gear to help you out and then would be able to put more tq down to the ground

now see if I was putting out 440 lbs/tq I would have prolly 480-520 hp b/c of where my power is made
the turbo motor I had maybe put out 250-300 lbs/ft
less then your l98 but b/c I have the low gears and less weight it will push my car a lot faster

sorry I know my point is getting lost
but higher hp means more revs which = lower gear you can use

He beat the focus! He posted the same thing in the theoretical racing board. He said he won in there but not in here. Good job if you read this! :hail: :lala: :lala:
