Stupid question but ...
To LITTLE under hood clearance to keep the pump alive for long without additional cooling. I'm using a 1990 Z-28 Pump set up on my 1967 Camaro.
I'm taking the cooling line, too.
I have a small cooler from a Ford unit, also. I'm gonna incorporate it also in one of my other rides.
NO room in the Corvette engine bay!
'sides, if it's good enough for a cop car standard feature, it's good enough for my rides.

I think it's mainly for autocrossers, to keepthe pump (and fluid) from overheating because of all the costant turning @ speed.
