starting problems
I posted about this a few months ago. My car starts only when it wants to. It would only happen once in a while, but it would always start when it was cold. When it doesnt start i get a code 33 and 34. I replaced the maf relays, coil, plugs, plug wires, and tested the maf sensor. My mechanic said that my ignition module was failing at a certain temperature. I replaced the ignition module and everything was great until now. im guessing its the ignition module again cause im still not getting spark. my question is...is there something that could be causing my module to fail? could something be shorting it out? could it be a bad rotor or cap? This is really frustrating, i had to get another ride home from work tonight. thanks in advance.

Welcome to the world of Ignition Failure.
Replace coil.
Remove distributor Rebuild it.
You'll be running again.
No you are not throwing parts at it.
Weak parts are weak and old.
When you add a new high power something, it causes the next part in the chain to fail, eventually.
In the end, you will also end up eventualy replacing the timing chain. How many miles?
BUT the power increase is such a treat!!

I have already replaced timing chain and rebuilt distributor when i did the engine last summer. Everything is pretty much new. ignition module (couple months old), coil (four months old), cap, rotor, pickup coil were all changed when i rebuilt distibutor in july. plug wires were just replaced couple weeks ago. i dont understand.
