Replaced Wheel cylinder. Now I have ?'s
Well My driver side wheel cylinder gave up it's ghost when some IDOIT tried to run a red while I was makinga right turn. My passenger side wheel locked but not the driver's side. When I took it off to replace it I found that one piston was stuck in the out position and shooting brake fluid out the boot. After fighting for 2 and 1/2 hours tring to get the new retaining ring on the wheel cylinder I adjusted and blead the wheel cylinder.
Now my pedal is a bit softer then before and the parking brake doesn't hold all the way. Do I need to adjust the parking brake cable? Do I need to bleed or readjust the brakes again? What can I do to restore my pedal?
This has been a PITA mission! Any help will be great!!!!!

did you bleed both back drum?
You have to bleed both sides but you let air into the master. the small part of the master controls both back drums so you need to bleed the other side. it should be hard after you do that. 90% of your pedal pressure comes from the back drums. you may also need to tighten your drums, did you use a drum ajustment tool or did you use a screw driver???

Did you adjust the pads up on the rear. But I would say rebleed both sides on the rear again. U should be fine.
I used the brake adjuster tool. It took me a few minutes to figure out ware to adjust them, becuase I never did it before. I had only bleed the one side. I try bleeding both sides and see what happens. Hopefully I didn't screw any thing up!
Ok at 6:30 this morning I was laying on the could pavment bleeding the brakes. I did both sides this time. It seems to have worked. The pedal is much harder now. I felt safe enough to send my G/F off to work in it. I didn't want her speeding down the hioghway and then suddenly have to stop and have the pedal go all the way to the floor!!
Thanks for all the help!!!!! :hail: :lala: :lala:
