I need a better V6 or upgrade

Okay, I have an 84 Camaro V6. It runs GREAT. It lacks some power, obviously, and the engine doesn't look very impressive. So, should I just go ahead and put in a 350 or is there a way to improve the look, improve the sound, and slightly increase power by just modifying what I already have?

From the author of the 3.4 long block swap boogie.
You do have common sense options.
I'll spell them out.
Swap in a wrecking yard running 3.4 block, mix/match to your carb intake=$$
Rebuild your 2.8=$$$$
Swap in a wrecking yard running 3.1=$
Swap in a wrecking yard running 2.8=$
Swap in a wrecking yard running V-8 engine, suspension, etc=$$
Sell your V-6 car & buy a decent V-8 3rd Gen=$
You have a non-fuel injected car, easy to swap to V-8/carb. Check YOUR emission laws for any penalty ($$ or ?).
Price the cost of the $ to your wallet, mechanical skills, bartering power.
PLUS down time for this project.
DO NOT CONVERT YOUR CAR TO FI.
Buy a FI car to start.

welcome to the board ,
as a 2.8-3.4 convert in progress, if you do want to go FI on whatever you do, check out the Holly stand alone systems,
read what KED85 typed again, & figure out your options.

AS for finding a cheap 3.4, well, networking is great as I got my 3.4 w/all accessories for...well check the sig
