Which drag radials

I need some kinda drag tires for the stock 16" Iroc wheels.I cant seem to get traction no matter what I do on my street tires.I`ve tried lowering air pressure and heating up the tires, stageing the rpm`s up and i just spin and spin.I`m looking at these three.M/T ET street radials 255/50/16 $167.99,BFGW G Force T/A drag radials 255/50/16 $154.99,hoosier 255/50/16 drag radial $185.99.Price wise of coarse I like the micky t`s.Are they as good as a more expensive tire? Also my trans and rear diff are old and susspect,I`m sure the added stress can finish them off right?I`m wanting to upgrade anyhow

Re: Which drag radials

i have the BF's on my car and i like the way the car hooks up with them. expect the rear to be the first to go if you get the car to hook up.

Re: Which drag radials

seeing how you are a auto car. if you dont have a stall then that has something to do with it atleast on strret tires. but to answer your question i have the M/T and i love them drop psi to 12-15 alittle heat goes a long way. try them out you wil love them. good luck Later Daniel

Re: Which drag radials

i am in the same boat as shady but i am replacing my worn out 277 gears with 370 and new LS. What is ya'lls opinion on my rear going out still? Do you think my rear will still be the first to take a crap on me? sorry to take over the post....

Re: Which drag radials

i've had Nittos, BFG's and the M/T's...THE M/T'S ARE BY FAR SUPERIOR for traction....as far as wear....1.Nitto, 2. M/T(close 2nd) 3. BFG...distant 3rd

According to your profile you have a 9-bolt. If so, you have nothing to worry about, except finding the gear and posi. They're much tougher than the 10-bolts.

The Mickey's hook best for an auto car, but they're the least street friendly tire.

Re: Which drag radials

i use MT's with the VHT track bite and it HOOKS UP. Might want to invest in a good rear end because i belive those slicks destroyed my 2.77's. Also i dont know if it caused this problem also , but my rear shocks got tore up with them on.

A buddy of mine has the hoosiers on his nova and it hooks up a little better ,but not by much

i never tried the BFG's but i am willing to bet its also a great tire any of them should fix your traction problems
