This place seems to have good cheap wheels. I was wondering if anyone had experience using either their DOT wheels or especially the lightweight D-Hole wheels on the street.

What would the durability prospects be against say an aluminum Z/28 wheel?

What would be the weight difference between these and stock aluminum wheels? These weigh 24 and 16 pounds (DOT and Lightweight) at 15x8.

Re: Bassett Racing Wheels

Those styles look like most of the low end american racing and cragar rims. I don't see why they wouldn't work if you see a style you are into. You have to take care of them because they will start rusting about 9-10 months afterward. just use a coarse number 3 steel wool pad and it comes right off and makes the rims nice again.

cheers!!!

Re: Bassett Racing Wheels

I was just wondering about durability with a 16 pound steel wheel on the street. It just seems a little light for pothole duty here in Jersey.

Re: Bassett Racing Wheels

I see. I really don't have pothole problems here in my town, I am not for sure if a lightweight wheel can take the punishment of many potholes if any at all. I am sure there are many people on the forums here that can answer that question alot better than I.

cheers!!
