17" x 8.5" tire options
I want to run 245/45R17 on my new c6 wheels, they are 17x8.5, but the tires are expensive and I can't really find any cheap used ones around here. But I did find a nice set of 4 235/45R17's for sale, with only about 1,000 on them, for $200. Will they look too small, like stretched out on on these wheels. And will the sidewall be much small than 245's even though they have the same aspect ratio? Does anyone have pictures of 17x8.5's with 235s one them?

245s already look small. If your short on cash, i would just go with those. Most manufacturers say you can install 235s on 8.5. Confirm the make of the tires, and look up the same tire on Summit, or TireRack, they will tell you if it is "recommended".

would you be willing to ship them? I would much rather have 245's than 235's. I live near Milwaukee, Wis

Why not go with 275 40 17 all around...you get a wider tire and the options are pretty numerous. Search it on ebay and ill bet youll find plenty of tires for sale.
