Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
I will be going with a 2.50" spacer in the rear and putting the 2.25" in the front. I will have a set of 2" spacers to sell. I hope to get it lowered by next week. The front wheel gap is a bit big for me. Here is what it looks like.

Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
i'm getting no pics?
18/19 combo does look good on these cars, especially if you match the sidewalls on the tires. 285/35 rear and 245 or 255/40's up front look better than my 295/30 rears. But other than that these cars look good with larger than 17 inch rims and less than 21's
surprised you went with a large 2.25" spacer up front, i'm using a 1.7 and it clears fine? with my brake swap it will push it out .3" or so to make it a 2 inch spacer overall however

Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
I looked all over for an IROC or a Z-28 and couldn't find one that I wanted so I picked this up. I am glad I did because I like the looks of it better. Thank's

Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
A friend of mine has a C6 and he bought the ZO6 rims and new tires for his vette. I bought his C6 rims with Goodyear eagle F1 run flats on them for $1000. The tires have 5000 miles on them. 245-40/18 in the front and 285-35/19 in the rear. Got to drive it today and they hold the road very well. Front tires touch the inner fender a little at full lock but I can fix that.

Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
Then I might be out of luck if I ever get the ones I want, since my 16 inch IROC rims already rub the inner fender a little too, but I think it is because on almost 80,000 miles on stock suspension the car is sitting too low, plus the wide a$$ tire that the previous owner put on there helps it too.

Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
You are right, I am almost never there, but if I ever get them, I will have to tell my girl not to turn it all the way, cuz most of the tires wear is from her, since we both drive the car. I forgot to say that your car looks sexy!!! and here is a pic of the ones I want, one by itself and one on the car.
Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
This is a pic of the vette with the ZO6 rims on it. He is painting the zO6 fenders as we speek to cover the monster tires. If you get the rims you will have to do some body work to the rear. They have a 325-30/19 tire and it will stick out of the fender well. I don't know if you would be able to get the front rims to work. They use a 275-40/18 tire and with the spacer you would need to make then clear the strut they would stick out as well. I don't think you would be able to turn them very much with out doing some serious body work to the front fenders.

Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
is that a 19 inch rear wheel? 2.5 spacer is needed for those. i went with 4th gen rear and a .625 spacer for mine
i have a 18x8.5 up front with 1.7 spacer and it clears fine. 255/40 tires lock to lock clears but its very close

Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
looks great
I thought about getting the black C6 but without big brakes it just dosnt look right to me. I wish they made them with 3rd gen offset, I hate spacers...

Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
That is sweet! I can only imagine what they would look like on my red 87 IROC. I was going to get those wheels for my C4 roadster but got the Y2ks instead. These would be a nice change. Of course I would still keep the original IROC rims since they are in great shape.

Hey with my rear end it's a 3.42 disc breaks all the way around. Would I have any issues with 19inch in the rear? I want to put c6 rims on my Camaro but I wanna do 18 inch rims all the way around

Re: Installed my C6 Wheels tonight
less-taller adapters in the front reduce the tire rub against the rear part of the plastic inner fender. even a 1/4" less will have significant effect.
