Tires too big???

i want to get some wider tires for my car and am looking at 275/60-15 bfg radial t/a. http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs/radial-t-a/12.html . i am wondering if those tires are going to be too big for my car. the only performance mods are edelbrock headers and flowmaster exhaust. it is a 5 speed manual. i am wondering if those tires will be too big and will be able to spin the tires if i wanted to.

Re: Tires too big???

They will easily fit the car, but I wouldn't say they're needed to be that size. For your power you should be fine with a set of 275/50/15's. A properly set up car won't spin the tires unless you're trying to do a burnout. I have pretty much all the suspension mods done to my car, and have pulled 1.30 second 60' times. With the 305 back in it'll do a burnout if I wanted to, but will still launch without a burnout to a 1.8 60' time on regular non drag radial 275/50/15's.
