Wheel well/tire clearance
Hi,
I just installed my 18x10.5 z06 wheels and adapters on the rear of my Camaro and have almost no space between the tire and the wheel well. I just thought I'd ask how much space I should have between the tire and the wheel well, so that I can decide whether to buy different adapters, or take a hammer to the wheel well. I haven't gotten an alignment yet, so I haven't taken the car out of the driveway, but rolling in and out of the garage is no problem.

Re: Wheel well/tire clearance
1/2" is generally a good range for clearance.
I would check both sides & see if your rear end is centered good. Stock, a lot of times they aren't. But an adjustable Panhard Bar fixes that.
I have the UMI Performance On-Car double Adjustable one, with rod ends, for zero side to side flex possibility.
With my 285s, one side was just a hair out, while the other side was in, like almost 1/2".
You could get one of those, if that little bit will help. If not, time to cut & weld. Hammer will get you SOME, but that thick metal won't move more than maybe 1/8".
