Will 255's fit?

I got a brand new set of torq thrust m wheels 17x8 and so I'm wondering, are my wheels wide enough to fit 255/45/17's on it? or is 255 too wide of a tire?

stock is 245..... 255 is like what 1/4" wider, so they will fit, they are not to wide at all,

I fit 265's on the rear of my camaro using 15/8 wheels with no problem. So i would guess yes.
