General Question about the Safety / Quality of Wheel Spacers
Are wheel spacers something that should be avoided if possible when it comes to setting up a car for autocross? I know that people will obviously use certain mods to get the appearance they want and dont care if performance suffers (i.e. lowering springs compared to drop spindles) My car is a weekend driver, with hopes of getting into some autocross racing. I wonder because I want to put on some of the 09/10 Zr1 wheels and would need to use spacers to achieve the correct maximum backspacing. I realize I could use a 4th gen rear axle and get an extra 2'' per side but would still need them in the front. Let me know any thoughts on this. I'm not a hardcore racer, so I assume they would be ok?

nobody answered because this has been covered so many times it ridiculous.
Use billet, not cast adapters, and they have to be torqued and re torqued a few times after driving. If installed and maintained properly, they are perfectly safe. Hardened wheel studs wont hurt either
