What do stock IROC lugnuts look like?

I have my ride since 1992, and yep, it was only 4 years old then. Never changed anything with the wheels. Now I dont think I have the correct lugnuts. I took one to the dealer to see if he get a replacement, and he said never seen those on stock Camaro.

What I got is these black (3/4" socket) capped lugnuts, that say "metric" on the outside end cap. One of the caps has come loose and will slide on/off the inner lug. I am gluing it back on with JB weld. Are these stock or some aftermarket thing? I could take a picture of one if need be.
They are getting old and beat a little bit. I take the rears off to put DRs on for racing.

Sounds like the lugs that were originally on my 85 IROC. I replaced them with newer lugs (since I was losing the caps/covers on the OE's) and their black plastic screw-on covers.

Yep. Sounds like the stock lug nuts with the black plastic caps.

These: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2991&ppt=C0337

Go on these:http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2988&ppt=C0337

If you JB the black plastic on them, your likely to break the plastic when you use the lug wrench & to to loosen or tighten the actual steel lug nuts.

The above is what I replaced with. The OE version that I mention has a black metal cap that is normally secured to the lug.

The ones you describe sound like the originals. I bought a replacement set a few years ago and now at least half of the caps are falling off again. I would not bother getting these again.

Instead I replaced them with McGuard Black Lugs which look close to stock and should hopefully hold up better than OEM. I hate those push caps and screw caps.

The stock lug caps actually are metal and are glued on from the factory. The caps were never intended to be removed. What happens is the glue breaks down after 2-3 uses and cap pops off. Firebirds may have had something different, not sure.

Great replies, guys, all helpfull. I do have these caps you mention with the metal caps. I agree with exactly what you said, that the glue breaks down and the cap pops off. I just took a picture of the one I JB-welded the cap back on. Check it out.

Now the above lug and black cap (stephen post) is the standard lugnut GM uses on many cars/trucks. I have them on my S15, and Cavalier. They are designed to take the screw on plastic caps, like you show. I have grey ones on my Cavalier, they hold the wheel cover down to the wheel.
When I was at the GM dealer, he actually got me a set of those black plastic screw on caps, but that is not what I needed for my IROC. I might goto another dealer and see if he can help.

On the other hand, I do like them black Mcguard lugs shown above. They would work for me!

They are original to my GTAs crosslace wheels. So while they may be used on other cars, I see no reason they wouldn't work on your IROC wheels. I still used them when I put my ROH Snypers on (and still do years later). I see no reason not to use them on yours. I've looked at those black lug nuts, but I don't want them getting scratched up by a lug nut & there goes the black you've bought them for.....

Yea, I am sure they will fit my IROC as well. They must be metric tho. I dont mind the look of the black plastic caps either. Just dont want 2 items on each wheel stud. The Mcgard nuts are supposed to be "tough nuts", resisting chips, fade, etc. I allready have 4 of their wheel locks on my ride.
I would have to buy 16 lugs and 16 caps. Need to start pricing this stuff out!
