Are 295's alright to run on a GTA rim?
I see some people running 295/50/16's are these ok to do? or is it very risky? what is a good brand of tire to use and does it require any modding to make them fit? my 245/50/16 just arent cutting it.

They'll fit but they're 2" too tall and will look like old bicycle baloon tires, imo.

Great fit. Look good, Been there, done it myself. 100% boil-on, no fenderwell mods needed.

doesn't matter what GM gave us, what matters is looks. 27.0" looks best, 25.7 looks too small.
If you want ultimate grip, then looks don't matter, fit some 17x9.5s with Hoosier R-S3 255/40R17, which have a full 10" of tread width, and are far stickier than Radial T/A tires.
