Re: good tires
Max performance, I don't know. I put cooper zeon zpt 245/50 r16's on mine and can't complain on the handling, the car grips like death on corners and stops better than ever.I won't even begin to compare my car's dead stop/start traction to yours but with my bolt on car I am well satisfied with the the performance of these tires. (let the flaming begin,JK). Randy!

Re: good tires
just put toyo proxy 4's on mine. Seem to be fairly sticky, have a rim protector and a stiff sidewall. only have about 7 miles on them but so far seem to be good.

Re: good tires
do a little on-line research . i have BFG " G force sports " on my car and am very happy with them . they are made in U.S.A. as are Cooper Zeons ( good/great tires also ) . do a little research and decide . where a tire/part is made matters to me . i know a lot of stuff is made overseas , but i prefer to buy stuff made in America if i have a choice . Support America . good luck .

Re: good tires
I've had Yokahama AVS ES 100's on my car for a couple of years now...
GREAT dry weather handling!!!
I don't drive in the rain, but they are directional and wicked soft!!! (like streetbike tires)
I bought 245/45/16's
If I were gonna do it again, I would get the 245/50/16 or even 255/55/16's to fill the wheelwell better.
