'91 Z/28 Wheels Question
'91 Z/28 Wheels Question
I have a '91 Z/28 with the 305 TPI, 5-speed,G80, G92 and AC (so not 1LE) options. Am looking at replacing (though keeping) the factory 16" alloy wheels. Really like the American Racing Torq Thrust D and wanted to know if some of you members with similar car can tell me what width and offset I need to consider on any aftermarket wheel? Thank you. Greg

Re: '91 Z/28 Wheels Question
If you have the $, you can fit ARE TT-D wheels in the 17x9.5" size, all around. You need a +19mm offset, which is a 5.5" backspacing if measured the only right way, and the bolt pattern is 5 on 4.75", which is 120.65 mm
Your car should have some 3-4 mm spacers for the rear, save those, you may need them up front, depending on your outer tie rod ends.
If you go this route, you can fit 275/40 tires up front, and 285/40 tires in back, no trouble.
