Need to verify before making the purchase
I think I've made up my mind on wheels and tires.
I want to run 17x8, 4.5" b/s, 0mm o/s Cragar D Window's on all four corners.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3428834/
I plan on using 245/40/17 Hankook tires on the front, and 275/40/17 Hankook tires on the rear.
I am pretty sure this will work without any issues or spacers needed, but I would like to know before placing the order.
Thanks.

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
no spacers needed, didnt look up the tire diameter, but as long as they are about 25.7 you are fine. will a 275 40 fit on a 8" rim?

Here are the tires:

It says: Overall diameter 24.7" and 25.6"

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
thats a littel small for the front, and the rear tires need a 9" wheel minimum

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
Okay, heres what I am thinking now, stay with the cragars, but go with the Soft 8's instead. I can use 2 of the 17x9 with 5" B/S for the rear, and 2 of the 17x8 with 4.5" B/S for the front.
Front:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3978834/
Rear:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3978934/
And I can keep the 275/40/17 on the rear, and maybe I can use a 255/45/17 on the front, which would be 26.1 overall diameter.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
Will the 5" B/S on the rear 17x9 still work, and will that front tire be better?
Thanks!

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
how about a 245/45/17 for the front, its 25.7 and matches the rear height better.
i would get 5.5 for the rear wheels, keep then in a little more, but 5 will work.

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
For some reason when I looked up 245/45/17 it said that size wasn't fount, but now it is. Anyway, here is what its come down to:
Tires:

Wheels:
Front:

Rear:

And I shouldnt have any problems, correct?

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
shame they dont have a 5.5 bs wheel, i think the 5 will put the wheel flush with the outside of the car
. everything else seems fine to me, dont forget new lugnuts.

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
Yeah, they only offer them in the 4.5 and 5.0 B/S, I think they should go as far as 5.5, but oh well.
Allright, that is what I will get, thanks for all the help, and of course I will be buying new lugnuts. Do you know the thread pattern for our wheels studs, by the way?

What did you end up ordering? I'm a little late to this party, but I think I woulda gotten a little different, based on your initial choices.

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
I ended up not going with the aluminum ones because I wasn't 100% sure on fitment, and hub sizes, etc.. I like a wide variety of wheels and these will give the car a look that I would like. I went with the Cragar Soft 8's 17x9 rear 17x8 front with 245/45 on front and 275/40 rear.

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
the waiting game sucks, I usually cave and pay a little extra for shipping. It'll be worth it when you get the rims tho.

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
I agree... I hate waiting for anything!
But, I wasnt going to tack on the $120-$200 for the upgraded shipping to get them to me one day faster, lol.
Summit is usually pretty good about getting things to me on time, they are always right on the day they say, or even the day before.
Atleast I got shipping confirmations for all the wheels and tires that are coming from four seperate facilities, which kind of scares me, I'de like to have everything by Friday, which I think will happen.

need to lower that thing a little, but looks good so far. It appears the rear tires are about flush with the fenders like we determined they would earlier?

Re: Need to verify before making the purchase
Actually it seems like that are a little inwards of the fender-line. I like the way they sit, and yes it would benefit from being lowered but the fronts allready rub pretty good when close to lock.

Typical huh? Fronts & fronts can't arrive at the same time or rears & rears.
