Don't know about the stock thirdgen rear but my bird with an LT style 4thgen rear has a 1" bolt on spacer and fits the 19x10 '07 wheels (same as '06) with the outside of the wheel perfectly inline with the top lip of the wheel well.

Re: 2006 vette wheels

if you use the 19x10 rears and 18x8.5 fronts, you will need about a 1.75-2.0" spacer up front, and about a 2.25-2.5" rear spacer for the 19x10's on stock rear.

4th gen LS1 rear like i'm using, you only need about .625" of space. I got a hubcentric slip on 5/8" setup that works great with the extended 2.5" ARP wheel studs. It fits the wheel center very tight and distributes the load. I would not recommend doing a regular slip on larger than 1/4".

A bolt on .75 sounds like the ticket but a 1" could also work, it just wont be exactly tucked under the fender lip.

I'm using an ls1 rear & 1/4" spacers and they fit nicely tucked. Also depends what tire you will run, if using a stick 285 35 19 you can probably get away with a ls1 rear and no spacers.

Re: 2006 vette wheels

I"m running a 295/30/19 tire and i had to use the 5/8 spacer and beat in the wheel wheel alot to get it to clear.
