What can I stuff into 91 wheel wells?
What can I stuff into 91 wheel wells?
I have just about got all my parts for my 91 camaro build I am going for big wheel look. I have an 8-71 blown 454 going in it. Moser 9 inch rear end with 35 spline axles stock width (it is a direct bolt in replacement). Now my question is how big and how wide can I go in the rear. Obviously I would like wide and taller rims on the rear. The car is stock height not lowered at all. I would like to go 19" and 10" wide rim on the rear. I can cut a little wheel well out to make it work as the car is a bare body that just got sandblasted today. Also I don't want to use spacers, I would rather have a nice deep dish instead of a spacer, plus they are illegal in Canada (so is the blower sticking out of the hood
) Also thinking of 18 by 9.5 or 8.5 up front.
I would love someone who knows their wheels to fill me in on the max diameter and widths front and back, but also the proper offsets to the get the best look.
Thanks,

Are going to go with custom made rims or off the shelf rims? Any 4th gen rim will work you will need spacers for them. But if you can find a 4th gen rear they bolt on without spacers & you can run wider rims & tires.

I was under the impression 11" is the widest rim you can go in the back with the stock rear without some work? even that may require some hammering, cant recall. 10" will definitely go no problems though.

Like I stated, I got the car sittin on work horses stripped down to the bare body. I think I will buy a new camera and take pictures of the build as it progress or I run outta money which ever comes first I guess. I am not afraid to cut some of the wheel well away. I have a rear coil over conversion with drag sway bar from spohn performance. I actually bought every single piece they made that fit on the car.
