I just bought some 88 16" iroc rims and was wondering if the front and rear rims had to have different size tires..im assuming they do so what are the acceptable sizes for the front..and the acceptable sizes for the rears.

Stock all around was 245/50/16, but you can go to 255/50/16.

 

It's not that they take different tire sizes front and rear, it's that the rims themselves have different backsapcing front and rear, so the ones marked "FRONT" have to go on the front, and the ones marked "REAR" have to go on the rear - otherwise, the tie rods will rub the rim.

As mentioned, 245/50/16's all around.

 

Running 255/ 50s in back, 245/50s in the front....

 

They loction "front" & "rear" are stamped in back of the rims. Stock tire size for all 4 rims are 245/50-16, but some people use 255/50-16 for the rears only. I like to use the stock sizes myself.
