Chrome or not?
Re: Chrome or not?
I personally only like chrome on a very few select cars. Mainly older older cars, some late 50's cars, 60's cars. A high polished aluminum, silver or gray powdercoated, or black wheel fits third gens a lot better IMO.
I'll probably stick with the stock IROCs for a while until I could afford to throw Boyd Coddingtons on it. I really want Boyd Coddington hotrods. Camaroguy18 has them, and besides Boze Octanes, they're one of the best looking wheels around for a third gen Camaro I think.
I believe his are polished aluminum, may be chrome.

Re: Chrome or not?
I wouldn't do that at all. Third gens only seem to look right with a few certain styles of a wheel. A slightly more modern styled, simple 5 spoke will almost always look the best, but there are exceptions, one in particular that I really love on a 'Bird.
These BBS wheels look incredibly good IMO on the Polly Motorsport Trans Am.
