About to order some 18 inch iroc wheels , a friend suggested to go with 245/45/18 front and 275/45/18 rear ,......... Anyone out there have this setup ? pretty sure they would fit without rubbing .............any other suggestions are welcomed ,the car is all stock height right now .Thanks

 

Too tall and way too tall. Stock is 25.7". 245/45-18 is 26.8", 275/45-18 is 27.9. Also, a 275 is too wide for an 8" width. 255/40 would be ideal, IMO.
This is what 245/40-18 and 285/35-18 looks like:

 

those iroc wheels are only 8" wide though right? you cant use much more than a 245/40 on them.

 

Ricci - I am planning on using pretty much the same tire size as you listed. I know they are taller and I'm ok with it. My concern is my long tube headers and 3" exhaust bottoming out once I lower the car. My thought is that the tire helps fill the wheel well and also raises the car slightly for ground clearance.

Just so you know, your speedo will be off with a taller or shorter tire than stock.

 

...The Rims are listed as 18 x 8.5 ....the company im looking at is installing the tire size i request , Thanks for the input.......... im waiting for the forum thoughts before placing the order .

 

im running the 18 x 8 irocs with 255/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear and my car is currently drop 3in on the front and 2.5 rear no issues
