Tire placing
So i have a 1987 trans am and i am running 255 tires on both front and rear but for some reason I have people telling me I have my front tires on my back and my back tires on my front. The way they sit now my front tires are normal and my back tires are sticking out a bit further which looks nice but my mechanic says it should be the other way around, due to the fact that i guess i was hitting my u joints while turning or something like that. Any suggestions would be helpful im taking a 200 mile drive from Mass to Maine in a few days.

Re: Tire placing
the 16x8 factory wheels place the front wheel out further than the rear.
FWIW, the rears dont just bolt onto the front, you must have spacers or something else on the front. the rear wheels will hit the tie rod in the front without.
or its possible you have 4 "front" wheels.
If you take them off, they are marked on the back side "front" and "rear"
