16x8 GTA wheels on 1985 T/A?
Hi, new user here. Just purchased a 1985 Trans Am.
Will I have any problems fitting 16x8 GTA wheels on my car?

Good thanks
I'm not a big fan of using spacers, want to avoid that.
I am however a big fan of wider wheels and tires in the back than up front, but I understand the GTA was delivered wit 8" with both on the front and back?

there are Front and Rear wheels, they are marked of the backside
you can put the front wheels on the rear of the car, but you cant put the rears on the front unless you use a small spacer or have the 1le brake package.

yes, they are both 16x8, the front wheels have zero offset, 4.5" of backspacing, the rears have 16mm offset, or 5.125" of backspacing.

Re: 16x8 GTA wheels on 1985 T/A?
Any suggestions on what size tires to fit on these?
I would like it a little wider in the rear than the front. Can I go 255 in the back and 235 on the front without going "out of limits"?

245/50/16 is a commmon size used front and rear. you can use the 255 front and rear too AFAIK. your plan to use 255 and 235 tires will be fine, so long as they are of a stock height of about 25.7"
