I think he means 215-65-15's.
You can do 225/55/15 front, 225/60/15 rear
or 225/55/15 front& rear

I want performance tires that have a lot of traction and are good for taking turns and help in not hydroplaning. I have a guy that I can get pretty much any tire for really cheap so money isn't an issue. Should I have 225? would that be better?

Re: Best tires for my car.
You don't mention your wheel sizes other than 15s but I can still tell you what tire sizes I think look good on a car with 15's and set up like mine.I am running 235/60r15s on 7x15 wheels front and 255/60r15s on 8x15 rear. I like the staggered look this gives me and IMO the more rear tire on the ground the better. I also think the 235 tire in front is perfect for that look.I don't care for a thin tire. As far as a performance tire for 15in. wheels they are getting harder to find with only a small selection available. I went with a street all season because mine is a DD and wont be seeing the track. Sorry but I have no experience with a hi performance tire. I just wanted to tell you my tire size preference on a car set up like mine.

I run 235/60/15 up front and 245/60/15 out back.
Here's a good link for tire size calculations: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

225/60/W15 is another excellent option (front and rear) I bought for my 92 RS high performance Kumho tires model Solus KH15 with speed rating W (270 kmh.) very adaptive to wet & dry roads, low noise, high-speed stability and lateral grip under cornering. http://www.kumhotire.com/tire/tire_d...jsp?prdt_id=25
