i have the ronal r15 on my 91 formula 17x9.5 the fronts hit the tie rods i have what looks like 1/4 spacers but no luck put 2 on one side still no luck any ideas? tires r 275/40/17
these wheels will fit a car with the 1le front brakes or a floating rotor type brake upgrade with no spacers. With stock brakes you need a 1\4 or 6mm spacer. If that is not working for you something is wrong. Does this happen on both sides?
yes if i remember right both sides did it i have 1/4 spacers put 2 on one side and still hit the tie rods un sure of the le brakes all i know is factory brakes i did put new tie rods on awhile back
if i have to mess with it to much i'll have some ronals for sale
If you do sell I may be interested. Pm me

Yea, if its just a little you can grind the tie rod. Any chance you have the tie rod assemblies on backwards? Where is the grease fitting on the outboard tie rod?Originally Posted by TTOP350

You can use the factory spacers from the rear that some of these cars used.
The R15 wheels were designed to b used with 1LE brakes and they move the wheel outboard a lil bit.
You have stock brakes??

i did the spacers off the back is the only ones i have even tried 2 on one still rubbed yes original brakes
I have heard recently that the origional ronal wheel spacers were almost 1/2" thick. That's new to bme and may explain why you are having this problem
Indeed you need spacers with original R15 wheels due to SLP measuring them for the optional Brembo brake system, which (if I remember correctly) is about 3/8" further out then stock brakes.

This is a pic of the preproduction spacer SLP used. Obviously the rotor hat was redesigned for production.

i bought 5/16 spacers and with those and ones off back it works bruce at hawkes said it'd be fine running it that way

How much thread engagement are you getting on the lug nuts to wheel studs? Personally I'd think you might be losing too much thread engagement.

That's a total of 7/16". I'd be nervous w/o longer studs.Originally Posted by cphgncowboy
