I love powder coated rims! So easy to clean! Took the GTA to Road America, did the touring laps. The stock brakes and whatever pads are on the front (been there since before i bought it) dusted hard core. They were NOT happy.

But look at how easy they come clean! I used your basic car wash soap, a soft sponge and wala! The dust literally just wiped right off the rims!

Clean.

I've gotten into the habit of waxing the crap out of my wheels every once in awhile and it really helps to ease brake dust removal (especially on the barrels)

do the tires have a tough time balancing? or do you coat literally the whole rim so it stays the same weight everywhere

...Just the wheels, not the tires. Well, mainly the inner barrels so I can just wipe them down while washing.

I'm confused. I wax my wheels. They came from the factory with paint/clear coat. What are you asking?

What were the wheels painted with that you saw? A paint roller?

Spraybombed. I just want to know if powdercoated rims balance easy or if its a pain in the *** to tray and get them to balance right. You know what balancing is right? when you have the weights on the rim so that it doesnt vibrate, wobble, and hop when you drive.

Yes, I know what balancing is. Rattle canning a wheel isn't going to make a wheel un-balance-able or even difficult to balance. You're talking a couple ounces of paint over the entire wheel.

So no, powder coating a wheels doesn't make it hard to balance.

And just FYI I wasnt trying to be rude with the wheel balancing comment, I was just trying to make sure I was being clear.

No worries! It's helpful to make sure we both understand each other.
