18" 5th gen wheels?
Anybody try the 18" 5th gen wheels on a thirdgen Camaro yet? I've seen a couple threads about the 20" SS wheels, but 20" is too big for my tastes on a thirdgen. Plus, the 18" 5th gen wheel is very "IROCish", so I think they might look good. Just wondering if anybody's tried this yet.

I like the heritage steelies myself, i guess i'm weird like that. I didn't know they made the other 18's, they do look like iroc wheels

I like the Steelies too. If I had a Sport Coupe like my old 86 with the factory rally wheels, I think they'd be a great upgrade while retaining that OEM look. GM used them on a 55 or 56 Chevy they built and they looked good.
Re: 18" 5th gen wheels?
I have seen 5th gen wheels on an iroc and it made it look like a fake looking child's hotwheel toy. I'm not trying to be mean here but I think there are better options. q50 if anything there bud. I thought about trying those on my 4th gen. All of them look dumb on my second gen. That's what I hate about 5th gen wheels. They just don't go well with all the other camaro generations.

You've seen PZ3 wheels on a thirdgen, or just the Q9K that we've all seen? Keep in mind that the PZ3 are 18", not 20" like the Q9K. They're a lot more reasonable in size.

those are the wheels that are on the car i just bought. i think they look real nice. they are the pz3 version in your pictures above. cant comment at this point on the fit since the car is currently being shipped. it will be here on thursday. if you would like i can take some pictures of them and update on fitment.

Mike, that would be great. Let me know the tire sizes if you don't mind too. I'm curious whether those tires are the same rolling diameter as stock or if they're slightly larger.

I wish they made the 20" Q9Ks in 18" or even 17". I love the look of them on third gens, just a tad too big. I'd be interested in seeing those PZ3s on with tires though!

Car got here after dark last night so I couldn't take pictures. I'm headed in to the shop this morning and will take a few pictures and get some measurements. On the short drive last night I didn't have any rubbing.

Re: 18" 5th gen wheels?
Stock 5th gen tires will be around 28" dia. But 245/40R18 = 25.7", 275/35R18 = 25.6", compared to 245/50R16 at 25.7" dia, which I think looks a bit too small on my '84 T/A, I like a 27" tire. For you, that would be a 255/45R18 or a 285/40R18, same sizes as the R35 GTR and last year's Shelby Cobra rode on.

Re: 18" 5th gen wheels?
ok didnt get a change to really measure the stuff today. the car has a truck oil pan on the ls and has like no ground clearence wouldnt go over the lip into my shop without hitting. thats a whole other issue to deal with.
i did however notice that there is what appears to be a 2 inch spacer on the front wheels to get clearence so they dont rub. not a big fan of that myself. hoping to change out the oil pan so i can get it in to take a closer look at the wheels and get some solid measurements for you guys.
