5th gen wheels on a 3rd gen camaro

I just picked up a set of 5th gen 20" spider leg SS wheels for my '88 and I'm looking for some advice on front fitment. I can get away with wheel spacers on the back and still clear the quarter panel well enough, my issue is with front fitment. I really don't want to run 2" spacers on the front and shove the wheels damn near out from under the fenders so I was wondering, can I swap a 4th gen front suspension setup (control arms, steering knuckle, front hub setup, etc.) onto my third gen or do they make any sort of aftermarket setup to swap out my steering knuckle and mile long spindle for something a little more practical for mounting modern wheels while maintaining the clean stance of OEM that won't shove my wheels way out?

my street tires are 5th gen 18s i run a 3 inch spacer up front right now and they do come right to the lip maybe a touch beyond. that much spacer makes the 18s rub the front and rear of the wheel well if i turn all the way. everything i have read says a 2 inch will work just fine so i will be trying those at some point in the future to try to pull the wheels back in a bit. ill post a side view picture of them since its the only one i have on my phone.

That'd be awsome, I'd love to see a pic. If I get my '48 ford f1 sold soon I'm going to drop some real $ on a whole front end setup (tubular k-member, control arms, coilover setup, etc.) and i'll do some tweaking to compensate so i can get away without spacers but I don't know when that'll be and I'd really like to get those wheels on in the mean time. I'll try to track down some 2" spacers and post pics so you can see how it turns out.

My phone just loaded your pic, that has to be damn near the cleanest third gen I've seen in a LOOOOOONG time. Those wheels look awsome on that thing.
