Boss 338's? Pretty common wheel. Should look nice though.

What brand tires are those?

 

They are Fuzion ZRi's. I've only seen pics if
a couple third gens with the 338's. never seen
them in person around here. Seen tons of TT II's though.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I actually had a tough time finding a set of matching staggared tires in my budget. This is the best I could come up with. Wheels will be here Monday

Yeah. I hear ya. So far this build has been appearance driven.
Once I'm done with the looks I will start the performance upgrades.
I built several Camaros and know that's quite an expensive road.
It will eventually turn to suspension, brakes, rear end, 6 speed and V-8.
That one sentence will be well over 10k so it will take time

 

Me if a car looks like a million bucks but runs like crap is worthless but u have to pay to play

 

The other thing is that the P.O. had rebuilt the engine
and suspension before I bought it and it runs and drives so good
that I haven't had to worry about any of that. Do I want gobbs
of power and crazy handling? Yes. But she's never let me down
in 6 years and that means something. I will eventually pull the
entire drivetrain and put it in a body to resell. That will start
The funding for the major upgrades.

I wasn't hating on his car I like the look on it. I don't like 2 tone third gens but his flow well. I jut don't like v6 in sports cars that came with bigger motors. I'm working on mine now but the other way making it go fast and look good later the clear coat is peeling but I do have a crate motor anda wire tuck under ther hood with 19 inch rims with 4 wheel disk ls1 up front. No rust or primer spotted car lol. I race my car so looks are 2nd to me.

 

If they have a v6 COTM he should be in it. I love red and black camaros (mine is too)

It's cool guys. I appreciate you sticking up for me Jas... Some people just don't like V6 cars and I can understand that. Sojer and I are taking two different paths with our cars, but will end up in the same place. I don't race, so I chose to make it look nice first. I would much rather have it look respectable than to be able to do a burn out. That will come. This car has come so far and most people don't realize that I've put just as much time and money in it as they have. I just started in a different place with different goals. I could have built a pretty quick car and had fun but it would still look like this....
and '84 SC with and embarrasingly ugly custom front bumper and '84 style gfx. That doesn't even count all the work done on the inside with new carpet, seats, weather strip, radio, etc..etc...

better watch it i know of a handfull of 2.8/3.1 powered cars on this board that are faster then 90% of the cars on this forums, just cause a car has a v8 does not make it powerful or fast

Haha, I am. Picking up another SC with lots of suspension goodies. Nice clean shell. Don't know what I'm doing with it, but can't pass it up.
I will be busy driving all day tomorrow.

 

The car itself looks fine, the wheels fit the look, or maybe make the look, but the tires should be 235/40 and 275/35 if not 235/45 and 275/40 to really fill the wells.

 

I agree with the 275/40 as the wheel can def hold a wider/ taller tire.
I was concerned that they might rub with the back spacing of the wheels.
BUT, I don't understand why u think I should run a less wide tire on the
front when the 245/40 fits perfect on an 8" wide wheel. The car will be lowered
Very soon to get rid of some of that gap.

Hey sharp ride. Really like the Dish on the rear. Whats the specs? Backspacing? adapters?

 

The rears are 18X9.5 with 5" backspace. No adaptors on a stock
3rd gen rear. They line up perfectly with the wheel well lip.
Fronts are 18X8 with 4.5" backspace and also fit perfect without
spacers. No rubbing.
