Need some help picking 15x10 wheel/tire
I want to get some diamond racing 15x10 wheels. I got the Eibach pro-kit (1in lower then stock)
What backspacing and tire size can you recommend? I dont mind doing some trimming/beating, and/or fender rolling but I dont want to have to notch my control arms or go hack crazy back there.

But that was what I was thinking. U would have to tube it or space it out like the pic above. Its barley enough room for the stock 8 inch rims let alone 10inch. Some 2inch spacer would do but I wouldn't race on them. Or 4th gen rear

Re: Need some help picking 15x10 wheel/tire
TBH I don't think a 3xx tire will fit a 15x10 without obnoxiously protruding past the fender flare (Not anything like above though I'm talking around 1/2 - 1" at the most) without a backhalf/minitub but I could be wrong. It's been awhile since I've read up on this stuff and TBH after a few mixed opinions I cut my studies short and just got a 15x8 wheel so I wouldn't have to hassle with, "Well looks like it doesn't fit we're gonna have to pound this or return X wheel for Y wheel". I recall several people here who got 15x10s to fit just fine but I don't recall what wheels and tire sizes they were running. FWIW OP is looking to run drag radials.
Honestly I wish I would have read a little bit more because I'm starting to wish I had gotten 15x10s. Also don't forget the OP is running a ford 9inch rear. Off the top of my head I'm not sure if the axle width is any different and I'm feeling too lazy to look it up but just thought I'd throw that out there.

As an example, CTW Motorsports wheels are 9.5" wide and fit the tire flush to the wheel wells. Another .5" inward would be no problem - actually a 10.5" wheel will fit without any real mods - as long as the BS/offset is right.

Yeh, running a Ford 9in, think its just stock width. Yeh, looking for drag radials.
Just want to know what backspacing I should get, and what tire size to run. Ive search, 5.5bs is supposed to fit but stick out and 6.5bs is supposed to be a PIA depending on the tire size. So ive been thinking of maybe a 6bs? Still not sure what size tire I can fit since my car is lowered

We could roll them with a baseball bat, only problem is we stand a strong chance at cracking the paint.
EDIT: On second thought probably not. I remember on stock springs my 275/60 tires came close enough to rub the undercoating/paint down to bare metal inside the wheel wells on stock backspacing (Tucked enough so fender wouldn't bottom out on top of tire). Probably have problems with lowering springs. I'll wait for someone who has actually tried it before but without a minitub think you might be stuck with 275/50.

Re: Need some help picking 15x10 wheel/tire
Plenty of room for a 275-295 tire about 26-27" tall. Guys have fit the 28"x10-12" tires as well but its tight. As said you need to space it right. I beleive a 5.5" backspace would work best for most tire sizes, but a 6-6.5 could work with the narrower 275 tires but may need some heavy well work.

The only thing I'm thinking is since he is lowered to get the wheel with the right backspacing to prevent the tires from becoming bump stops we will have to do some work to the wells and definitely roll the fenders. I know when I had a 275/60r15 tire it was a tight fit with stock height and stock 15x7 wheels. Rubbed every to bare metal in a few spots inside the wells. I can't imagine trying to stuff a 28" tall 3xx tire back there.

Re: Need some help picking 15x10 wheel/tire
Measured my control arms, about 2in wide lakewood control arms.
M/T makes a 295/55/15 tire that I think would be nice. I would get 275s if i absolutely have too and just get the 10in wide rim so later down the road I can mini-tub and get wider tires as needed.
Right now im leaning towards getting 6 or 6.5bs and just hoping with some cutting and beating I can make it fit, but itd be nice to hear someone who has run a similar set up to me chime in and say what size tire will fit and what needs to be done to make them fit.
I currently have 275/40-17 street tires on the car in the back and have plenty of room on the sides and to get taller.

Re: Need some help picking 15x10 wheel/tire
Guys run 4's in the 1/8 mile at 180 mph on 275 radials.... What you building that needs a 325?
And a 275/60 works better with a 9-10" rim. Supports sidewall better
Search for the threads about 15x10 wheels on a 6.5. Lots of work to do that if you run a fairly wide tire. 5.5 is abit more favored.

Here's a thought.
We could swap the wheels/tires off my car then go test the spray and see if it hooks. If it has traction on the nittos it will have traction on the BFGs/Mickeys.

Re: Need some help picking 15x10 wheel/tire
Dont need 325s
And about the 6.5bs, ive seen some posts where people say how easy they were to fit and required just some hammering, and ive seen others where people got tubs. They either dont list their tire size and mods to get them too fit, or just say some general information. Thats the whole reason I made this thread, I want to know as much as possible what I will need to do to make them fit and what size tire will work best. I dont want to drop money on wheels/tires just to find out I have to get new control arms, mini-tub or anything like that, I dont mind fender rolling, cutting and hammering though.

Well if you go 6.5 bs and its too close you can always space them back out alittle. Either bolt on .75-1" adapters or a thin slip on less than 5/16. Longer studs would likely be good idea there

Re: Need some help picking 15x10 wheel/tire
Slip-on spacers are illegal in some states. I agree that a 275/60 needs an 8-10" wheel, but the '90-'93 454SS did come with 275/60s on 15x7s. On an '82 Z28 I have seen a guy running BFG Radial T/A 295/50R15s ( current style ) on the stock 15x7" wheels. Not something I'd ever do, but fascinating to look at.

Str8upChevy has some fat tires on his camaro. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/susp...d-3rd-gen.html
Pictures are posted in this thread. his setup sounds similar to yours.
I have BFG Radial TA's 275/60R15 on 15x8 Rallys on my 69 camaro. They look good on there but they rub if i have to much weight. i either need to roll the fenders or get 245/60r15 and lower it. Anyway, IMHO these would look to tall on my 92 camaro. i wouldn't go any taller than 27" but thats just me.

Re: Need some help picking 15x10 wheel/tire
Like alot of people said you can fit a decent size will and itll fit properly as long as the dimensions are correct 5.5" bs is the most you can run with only minor modifications
i fit an 11" wheel with 315 tire and it doesnt stick out
all I did was cut off the bump stop and massaged a little with a hammer here and there
ofcourse a tall tire may require more "massaging"
