Summit Racing Legend 5 Series (Like Boss 338)
I havnt posted here in a few years since I sold/parted my Turbo LS Iroc, but I just picked up another 87 Z28...
Does anyeone run the Summit Racing "Legend 5 Series"? I they look pretty well like the BOSS 338 but a tad thicker spoke. I am debating the 2 rims for my Z28 I just picked up (white).
The only thing I don't like about the BOSS 338 is the offset. 5 inches on a 9.5" wide rim in my opinion is not enough and sticks the tire out too much.
I just wish Summit had them in Black.
On my old Turbo LS Iroc I ran 15x10 6.5BS (then a 7/16 spacer)
The Summit version comes in 18x9.5...
5.25BS
5.75BS (I would run this one)
6.00BS
6.75BS
Also still debating a 8.5" front rim or a 9.5". Just dont know what backspacing yet. Thinking 275/245 combo or a 295/275 combo.
Thanks for any info!

Jay,
Please go 9.5" in the front! No reason to put a 245/275 on a front heavy car and expect it not to under steer (it definitely will). Go 275 all the way around, your car will thank you by handling like it should...

I was thinking that, I wouldnt mind being able to rotate tires! Just trying to find out the perfect BS on the front with that wide. I know the firehawk rims were 9.5 but 17". Some people were talking about clearance problems on the tie rods with the wrong BS, but stepping to 18" may solve that

I have been looking at those wheels for my own car. the 9.5 would be a nice setup.

Ill probably pull the trigger on them once we pick up the hours at work again. I have the car off the road for 8-9months anyways to start tearing into this fresh virgin
Wanna get rims/tires/suspension done this winter then move onto the Turbo LS setup next season.

As 18" will tuck over the TRE, you can run 5.5" or a little more BS - maybe others can posts pics of their 18" x 9.5" with BS measurements...

Great! Awesome news. Maybe Ill order 5.75BS all around since I will be running LS1 brakes out front again which will stick the stock rim our around 3/16's further anyways. Im fine with running a small spacer on extended ARP studs anyways! Now to source tires that are not a fortune. Went through this last year on my C5 vette. 18's suck!
