Which rims go in the front?
At some point in my car's previous history (I just got it) it looks like the tires were rotated. This means that I have one of each type of rim on the front and back. Does the rim with the deeper dish (i.e. the one where it's about a 1/2" deep right next to the tire as opposed to the one that is about 1/4" deep) go in the front or in the back? Note that I'm not talking about offset here, I have yet to measure that.

I can't remember for sure but I believe the deeper one is the front but if you take the rim off it is labeled on the center hub on the inside where it mounts to car. It will just say front or rear on it. I had the same issue when I purchased mine and also when I got new tires they messed it up.

Re: Which rims go in the front?
Thanks. That makes sense, hopefully this will also solve the rubbing on the fender that I have. The side that has the deeper rim doesn't rub, but the other one does, so hopefully swapping the deeper one on will fix it. I don't know why the previous owner didn't just swap it back, they knew that the wheels were on the wrong side.

Re: Which rims go in the front?
I dont know what wheels you have, but the wheels with the mounting hub farther into thew heel from the outer lip of hte rim go on the fronts. So, for example, with the Trans am crosslace wheels, the wheels with the deeper lip go on the front of the car. It is very counterintuitive.
They should also be labeled so it should be obvious.
