XXR Wheel fitment question

I wanted to know if someone can answer this question. I don't really want to be directed to a wheel thread. Just a yes or no and if no is there a spacer I can use to make them fit. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

XXR 521 18x8.5 Gold 5-114.3 [+25mm]

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

Stock IROC wheels 16s are 8" wide with 0/+16mm (f/r) offset. 1/2" wide at 0 offset means 1/4" more to the inside as well as the outside. Since the wheel has 25mm=1" offset, without spacer, the face is 3/4" IN and 1 1/4" more wheel to the inside.

Or, a 3/4" spacer on the front will keep the wheel face in the same place, with an extra 1/2 to the inside.
Cut that down by 16mm at the rear... 3/4" (19mm) - 16mm (5/8") = 1/8" or 3mm spacer... to keep the wheel face in the same plane.

Other data points:
This says 16x8 IROC wheels have 4.75/5.25 (f/r) backspacing, which does not seem to match 0/+16mm.
Bolt on 9.5" wide wheels have a 5.25" backspace.

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

A 1.25 spacer is the thinest you will get I believe and it will have to be a bolt on adapter type since that wheel has the wrong bolt pattern

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

Why get 8.5???

Just my opinion if your getting wheels atleast go 9.5 trust me you will love the increase handling

Also those wheels are have a 5x120
I have a thread on XXR 521 18x10 all around
Check my sig
But yea 1.25" should do it but should look at the 18 and I think 20 have the 5x120 but I know the 18" does

And yes I will refer you to my thread and another person thread who I help

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

So is there a size of this wheel (XXR 521) that will bolt right on? I'm not that on the up and up with backspacing and the like. Sorry for the dumb questions

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

So I looked at both the threads and still couldn't figure it out. I love the mesh look of these wheels. he Hawks 17" GTA wheels are just way too expensive. I will eventually be going with a brake kit from big brake upgrade so I need a wheel that will fit

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

I'm pretty sure I posted exact adapter size

18x10 +25 I used 1.25 front and 1" rear adapter

XXR 536 Crosslace 18x9
http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-536-Wh...p/53689203.htm
XXR 521 20x10.5
http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-521-Wh.../52100142n.htm
XXR 521 18x10
http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-521-Wh.../52180142n.htm
XXR 521 18x8.5
http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-521-Wh.../52188142n.htm

There're options hope you find what you looking for wheels that I posted above should be more of what your looking for and would fit with some adapters

What brakes ?? Brembo or ls1 type

Brembo will need at least a 18" unless it's ctw Motorsport wheel and for ls1 type will fit under 17"

Rember BBK pushes front track out so smaller adapter is needed

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

I guess those wheels only come with a multi lug hub. That Sucks. I guess my search continues. For brakes I was looking at the Corvette C6 Z51 kit

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

they make the 521 in a 18x10 5x120 +12 that should bolt on. May need a thin slip-on spacer for the front, but rear should bolt on without any spacers. was thinking about getting a set for my Camaro.

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

So 18 x10 for both front and back?

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

Do you know how thick of an adapter you need to use? 1/2" or so?

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

Slip on yes bolt on no adapter is dependent on how flush you want it to sit

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

So with the +12mm offset, a 1/2" slip on spacer would give 5.5" backspace approximately.

Will this be enough to clear the hub on the front?

Re: XXR Wheel fitment question

it will be close its hard to say I would just run a 1" adapter all around I prefer wheel more flush then tucked and call it a day

just buy wheel and measure for spacer depending on how much tuck or flush you want and get adapter for it at end the day they will fit so don't worry about it you can fit a 10.5 upfront with 285 it is tight but it will fit

don't worry lol pull the trigger
