255/55/16s?
OK, so I have 255/50/16s on stock Formula wheels on the rear of my car.
They're old, dry-rotted, and separating. I'm planning on going with 18" wheels and tires sometime after the 1st of the year, and have been trying to limp along till then with these.
One blew out today. Can't be repaired.
I looked around for some decent cheap used tires to get by on till I get the new wheels and tires.
Obviously, 255/50/16 is hard to find. I did come across a pair of General 255/55/16s, though.
This tire calculator says they're the same width, but an inch taller.

Is that correct? Will they work?
