Help! What lugs to use with C5 replica wheels
So I thought I knew what I needed to use on my wheels but now I'm all screwed up. What kind of lug is everyone using with C5 wheels? The wheels have a flat lug hole but when I look at C5 recommended lugs they are tapered. If I remember correctly 3rd gen wheels are lug centric but C5 wheels were hub centric. I need to get these wheels on asap to move the car so any help you guys can provide would be much appreciated

Also are you running hub centric rings with your wheels and what size if so?

Re: Help! What lugs to use with C5 replica wheels
The C5 used tapered acorn nuts. Your wheels may be incompletely machined.
Second gen. Camaro or C3 Vette nuts may work. However, there are two glaring issues.
One is the washer style lugs went down into the wheel stud openings. It's unlikely the wheels are properly machined for this.
Also, if your wheels are not hub-centric (third gen OEM wheels were hub-centric and lug-centric is a bit of an internet mis-nomer / troll discussion) then the washer style lugs aren't going to locate the wheel as effectively as tapered nuts, or as a hub-centric ring.
Where are the wheels from?

I bought them years ago and threw them in storage for later. Its a sunk cost at this point. May have to get new wheels if these cant be machined properly

Any good machine shop can fix your unfinished wheels.

Re: Help! What lugs to use with C5 replica wheels
The issue is the car is on a lift at a shop now without wheels that will fit! Given the time element I ordered a set of deep dish Y2ks from OE Wheels to swap the tires to and get it rolling around. I will try to find a shop that can fix these later and either swap them on or sell them. Thanks for the help

EDIT: Yep, I looked at old pics, I do have spacers on the front. So, they won't work for you. Sorry.

I'm running 2" spacers up front. Rear is 4th gen Strange S60 now so no need for them on the rear. The 16" wheels won't work anymore as the car also now has Baer brakes on all 4 corners so you need an 18" wheel. Tires are also 275/35R18. Thanks for the offer though

Ahh bigger brakes. Same reason I can't use them at all.

If you find the id of the holes you may be able to use mag shank style nuts.
